It’s pretty much impossible to use the internet without an email address today. We like to compare it to a global digital passport, because the email address is an identifier used by websites and cloud services, during transactions, and even operating systems.
By 2020, CNP fraud will reach USD 7.2 billion in the US alone, according to research by Aite Group. At the same time, customers expect a seamless buying experience. Between these two trends, there’s a role for what we call email risk assessment in expediting legitimate transactions without friction.
