Corporate Controller

Emailage is looking for an incomparable Corporate Controller to lead and grow our accounting function. If you take pleasure from balancing your ledger, you might be the one for Emailage. As Corporate Controller, you will manage the entire accounting function, including full ownership of our books and records. As the employee responsible for all accounting operations, you will oversee our monthly financial close process, including subsidiary consolidations, managing our working capital, enhance accounting systems, policies and procedures, and collaborate with external auditors on all matters relevant to the company’s financial well-being.  The Corporate Controller reports to our Chief Financial Officer

At Emailage, we move fast and things change constantly. Many of the responsibilities of this role will be routine and well-defined while others will be ad hoc and on the fly. As such, the successful candidate will have the ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve with minimal oversight. In this position you will be an integral member of the team and will be expected to actively engage with the Chief Financial Officer and broader Leadership Team, providing accounting insights and expertise to help drive the organization forward.   •    Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close and monthly financial statement preparation processes
  •    Oversee all general ledger accounting and journal entries, and the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
  •    Ensure all accounting policies and procedures are documented and in line with relevant GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  •    Drive the implementation of new accounting procedures related to the latest revenue recognition policies
  •    Manage and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
  •    Gather, analyze and report financial operating results and insights to the Leadership Team
  •    Provide strategic accounting guidance and participation in anticipated mergers and acquisitions
  •    Manage external relationship with external auditors, tax preparers and commercial banking partners
  •    Assist in managing the annual budgeting, planning and forecasting process alongside the Chief Financial Officer
  •    Hire, train, manage, mentor and develop an accounting staff with a team approach to problem solving


  •    Minimum ten years of relevant work experience and previous Controller or Assistant Controller duties
  •    B2B SAAS industry experience with international exposure preferred
  •    Extensive knowledge and working experience with Quickbooks a plus
  •    CPA and public accounting experience strongly preferred, tax and M&A accounting knowledge a plus
  •    Experience in a start-up, roll-up-your-sleeves environment is a plus
  •    Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with high tolerance for ambiguity
  •    Experience working with external partners including investors, auditors, financial advisors, etc.
  •    Exceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  •    Strong negotiation and presentation skills, including ability to influence senior leadership
  •    Ability to think creatively
